Guests at Villa Wang Nam Jai enjoy the attentive service of a full-time team of staff including the villa manager, Thai chef and housekeepers. Guests are welcome to discuss their preferences with the manager – such as whether they wish to have staff visibly on hand throughout the day or a more discreet level of service.
Your full-time, English-speaking villa manager is available to help arrange dining and service requirements in-villa and assist with booking transport and tours around Phuket island.
The villa chef is available full time to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner. Consult with the menu and choose from a delicious array of Thai and Western dishes. Meals may be customised to your tastes and special dietary requirements are catered for.
Two housekeepers look after all the cleaning and tidying duties at the villa, and also assist with kitchen and dining service.
Pool cleaning, gardening and maintenance are handled by a full-time worker at the villa.
Enjoy a Thai massage and other restorative treatments in privacy and comfort on one of the villa’s spa beds. Ask the villa manager to arrange for a spa therapist or masseuse to attend.
Estate security staff work on rotating shifts 24 hours a day.
Villa Wang Nam Jai has an extensive menu with many Thai specialties and Western dishes to enjoy, as well as a wine menu. Ask the chef for his recommendations and let him know your group’s tolerance for spices and other ingredients so he can adjust to accommodate your tastes and dietary requirements. And don’t forget to try at least one barbecue meal from the big selection of meat and vegetarian options.
All groceries and beverages are charged at cost price with a prevailing service fee for every trip to purchase. Guests will be asked to provide money for groceries in advance, and the staff will do the shopping and keep the receipts for reference. To ensure the chef and staff have ample time to prepare, guests are encouraged to plan meals as far in advance as possible.
With its friendly staff and private swimming pool, Villa Wang Nam Jai is an ideal escape for families, especially those with older children. One of the joys of travelling in Thailand is that children are welcomed everywhere and Villa Wang Nam Jai is no exception. Kids will delight in the staff’s warmth and kindness, and parents needing a break could ask the villa manager to hire a babysitter for an extra charge.
The villa’s common areas are equipped with fun stuff for all ages including a poolside ping-pong table and a foosball table plus a home theatre system and comfy sofas to sink into in the adjacent media room. The room’s bookshelves have a limited number of children’s books as well. The pool is a wonderful place to cool down and splash around, while the surrounding terrace offers plenty of lounging space with sofas and sunbeds to relax on between swims, and the huge daybed in the sala on the upper terrace is a great spot for a quiet read or nap in shaded comfort.
Having a modern kitchen and a full-time chef on hand to handle meals and snacks all day is an obvious benefit for families staying at Villa Wang Nam Jai. Talk to the chef about his recommended meals for satisfying those picky eaters, or choose from the wide selection of kid-friendly choices on the menu including soups, satay chicken, pizzas and delicious but healthy smoothies.
A high chair and baby cot are available for a small additional fee and other items such as car seats can be hired from reputable local agencies to save you the hassle of travelling with cumbersome equipment.
Phuket has plenty of attractions to captivate all members of the family, and our Things to Do page is a good place to start. Check the villa’s guide book for more ideas on tours and activities; the villa manager can help make arrangements on request.

Our stay at Villa Wang Nam Jai was a truly memorable one. The sheer serenity of the place made us feel as if we were one with nature. The attention to our needs by Ann and her staff was exemplary. Every meal was a treat service. Ann tried her best to incorporate our love of flowers into every course. We will definitely visit again soon.

Wang Nam Jai is a luxury holiday villa artfully arranged over the jungle-clad hillside for incredible ocean views, peace and privacy. Tucked away on a headland in a secure estate between Kamala and Patong bays, this four-bedroom, fully staffed villa is a delightful place for groups or families to unwind in the tropics.
Nam Jai, which translates to ‘water-heart’ in Thai, is a phrase that means kindness, in particular the kindness of making sacrifices for those you care about and extending hospitality to others. Wang Nam Jai, then, means “a palace of generous kindness”, and those who stay here will discover that generosity abounds, in both the opulence of the living spaces and the warm attentiveness of the staff.
Wang Nam Jai’s sense of tranquillity extends into every corner of the villa, both inside and out, from the Buddhist and Hindu paintings, statues and wall frescoes to the koi pond and the sounds of birdsong and ocean waves. On the terrace, the eye is drawn to an intriguing life-sized bronze statue of a ballet dancer in an energetic pose. Created by the Monaco-based sculptor Kees Verkade, it's a dazzling image of strength and balance against the vivid backdrop of sea and sky.
The four king-bedded suites are each a haven of peace, especially the master suite with its huge terrazzo bathtub. The bedrooms are consciously free from distracting electronics – but there’s plenty of entertainment to enjoy in the media room and on the terrace, including foosball, table tennis and a home theatre as well as a 22-metre infinity edge swimming pool.
Days at Wang Nam Jai unfold in blissful comfort. Salute the sun, admire the views and enjoy the fresh morning breeze with a yoga session in the fitness room that crowns the villa. Take breakfast in the cool comfort of the dining room before a refreshing dip in the pool and a tanning session on one of the many loungers furnishing the wide terrace. Finish the day with an elaborate seafood barbecue served alfresco by the pool, all prepared by your private chef. And then, as night falls and the lights of Patong Beach glitter across the bay, savour some wine in the living room or on a comfy terrace sofa before heading out for some nightlife excitement.
